Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Digital ID Technologies (Pty) Ltd, we provide fast, reliable, and efficient delivery services throughout South Africa.
This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping procedures, delivery timelines, and related terms.
By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are automatically calculated at checkout based on:
- the weight and dimensions of the products purchased,
- the delivery destination,
- and the courier service selected.
We make use of trusted third-party courier providers including:
- The Courier Guy,
- Aramex,
- MDS Collivery,
- and other approved logistics partners.
Shipping costs are displayed before payment is completed.
2. Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders are processed and dispatched during normal business days only:
- Monday to Friday
- Excluding weekends and public holidays
Our daily dispatch cut-off time is 14:00 (2:00 PM) SAST (GMT+2).
Orders placed before 14:00 are processed for dispatch on the same business day.
Orders placed after 14:00, on weekends, or on public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days following payment confirmation.
If delays occur due to supplier availability, stock shortages, payment verification, or operational issues, customers will be notified accordingly.
Business days are defined as Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.
3. Back-Ordered Products
Where an order contains back-ordered or special-order products:
- available stock may be shipped separately,
- and outstanding items will be dispatched once received from the supplier.
Estimated lead times for back-ordered items will be communicated via email where possible.
Digital ID Technologies (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to:
- combine shipments,
- split deliveries,
- or delay dispatch until all items become available.
4. Courier Selection
Digital ID Technologies (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to select the courier service used for delivery based on:
- delivery location,
- parcel dimensions,
- operational requirements,
- and shipping costs.
Where free shipping promotions apply:
- the most economical shipping method available may be used,
- which may result in longer delivery times compared to premium courier options.
Customers may choose paid shipping options where available.
5. Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery timeframes begin once the order has been dispatched and collected by the courier.
Estimated delivery times are as follows:
Gauteng
- 1–2 business days
Major Metropolitan Areas
(Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, etc.)
- 1–3 business days
Outlying & Regional Areas
- 3–5 business days
Delivery services to remote locations are subject to courier routing schedules.
Delivery delays may occur due to:
- weather conditions,
- public holidays,
- high shipping volumes,
- strikes,
- supplier delays,
- or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
All transit times are calculated based on business days (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays.
6. Delivery Responsibility
Once an order has been dispatched and handed to the courier:
- delivery timelines are subject to courier operational schedules,
- and customers will receive tracking information for shipment monitoring.
While we facilitate the shipping process, final delivery timelines are subject to courier operational schedules once dispatched.
Customers are responsible for:
- providing accurate delivery information,
- ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel,
- and communicating directly with the courier regarding delivery arrangements where necessary.
Additional delivery charges may apply for:
- incorrect addresses,
- failed delivery attempts,
- returned parcels,
- or redirected shipments.
Orders refused at delivery or returned uncollected may be subject to courier charges and handling fees.
7. Order Tracking
Once your order has been packed and collected by the courier:
- a tracking number and tracking link will be emailed to you.
Tracking information may take up to 12 hours to reflect after collection due to courier processing times.
Tracking services are provided by third-party courier systems and may occasionally experience temporary delays or outages.
8. Delivery Inspections
Customers are encouraged to inspect deliveries upon receipt.
If a parcel appears damaged, tampered with, or incomplete:
- please notify the courier immediately where possible,
- and contact Digital ID Technologies (Pty) Ltd within 48 hours of delivery.
Claims relating to shipping damage or missing items may require supporting photographs and courier documentation.
9. Collection Option
Where available, customers may arrange to collect orders directly from our premises by prior arrangement.
Customers will be notified once their order is ready for collection.
Valid identification may be required upon collection.
10. Limitation of Liability
Digital ID Technologies (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for:
- loss resulting from incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer,
- force majeure events,
- or delays outside of our reasonable control.
Delivery timeframes are subject to courier operational schedules during periods of high shipping volume, severe weather conditions, public holidays, or operational disruptions.
Customers will be assisted with shipment tracking and delivery status updates where required.
